Hi my name is Kristen, and I've had diabetes for about 3 years now. I am 14 years old now. When I first found out that I had diabetes my mom and my dad noticed that I was drinking a lot, using the bathroom a lot, losing hair and losing weight. My parents didn't know what was wrong with me so she took me to a skin specialist and he said that I was just dehydrated. My parents didn't think he was right so they took me to get blood work, then I found out that I had diabetes. I have come a long way since then because now I got an Animas insulin pump which I love! ~*!~*!~*! About ME!!*~!*~!*~ I live in Newfoundland, I love it here! I also have a Golden Retriever, her name is Porchia (poor-shh-a). A few of my good friends have diabetes and one of them has an insulin pump like mine! I like to Snowboard, swim, play badminton and basketball, I also like to watch T.V. . Some of my favorite shows are: Simpsons, extreme elimination challenge, umm some other one i can't really remember the name at the moment :P Friends and other comedies. I am a fan of Blink182, Linkin Park, ACDC and other bands like that.I love hanging out with my friends, snowboarding and ski-dooing.
