Hi,
My name is Stevi. I'm nine years old. I live in Maryland. I have two great parents and a Golden Retriever named Blue. I play softball and basketball.
It's been almost three years that I've had diabetes. My blood sugar was over 500 and I was very sick. I went to the restroom a lot and things that I drink did not taste right. My doctor told me to go straight to the hospital when I went to see what was wrong. I found out I had type 1 Juvenile Diabetes. I had never heard of it before. I was in the hospital for four days. I practiced injections on a orange but I still can not give them to myself. The first time I got my blood sugar checked I liked it and wanted to do it again. I want to get on the pump but my old doctor said no.
I'm in a study and my new doctor is very nice. The study is about my doctor studying my numbers and the insulin called NovoLog. It is only approved on adults. But soon it might be approved on kids if it has good results on me. My doctor said I would have the pump by the end of the study in about six months.
I would like for someone to wright to me at
Daachustzs[@]aol.com .
