Hi, my name is Kayla. I am 11 years old, and I was diagnosed with diabetes on March 29th 2003. My brother Trevor was diagnosed 8 1/2 months before I was. I am already giving myself injections, and I am doing really good at it. My mom and dad are so proud of me. Diabetes will not keep me from playing soccer, basketball, or my favorite thing, Skate Boarding. I am learning so much everyday about this disease, and how I can take good care of myself so I can have a very long and happy life.
