Hi my name is Anastasia but my friends call me Ana. I'm seven years old. I like swimming, riding my bike, and playing with my friends. I just found out I have diabetes in June 2003. I went to the hospital in Omaha. I didn't like having an IV. I felt scared from the needles. But guess what, it turned out fun going to the playroom. Now I am doing my own finger pokes, but not my own shots. If I'm shakey I know I need a carb. I like helping to plan my meals. I can't wait till I start second grade. I will show everyone how I do my own finger poke. I will tell them what the number means. My email is anastasia[@]luppen.com.
