My name is Alexis. I have had type 1 diabetes for about two years. I'm nine and I'm considering camp for diabetics this summer – it looks like fun. Diabetes for me isn't really cool. But there's always hope that one day there will be a cure so I don't have to take shots anymore! I don't give my own shots yet, but I do my own finger pricks. Some of my hobbies are playing with my dogs, singing, Pom and Cheer, computer, writing, and outdoor activities. I also have 6 bunnies :). I have two dogs named Buddy and Amy Lou. Buddy, a Golden Retriever, is one and a half years old, and Amy, a Black Lab, is 10 months old. Buddy likes to play fetch and be lazy. Amy likes to dig and run around.
