Hi. My name is Kayla. I'm 14. I was diagnosed in June 2001. I have two brothers. I'm the oldest but barely. I'm a triplet. I live in the USA. I have a boxer lab named Chazz. Some things I like to do are read, swim, play basketball, make crafts, chat, and hang-out with friends.

I found out I was diabetic when I went to the doctor with my cousin who had an earache. The last few days I was thirsty a lot and had to go to the bathroom a lot, so I went to the doctor when my cousin went. They told me I had to go to the hospital right away and if I hadn't have come to the doctor then I would have been in ICU by the weekend. I had to stay for three days. I also have an insulin pump, it's great! I only took shots for about a year and have had the pump for about three years.
