  Back to Kids' Voices Leah

Hi! I am Leah, a girl with diabetes. Life is rough with diabetes. When I found out I had diabetes, it was terrible. I am not just me -- I am a girl who hates needles! I started getting used to it anyway. Still, injections hurt a bit, if you are not a diabetic and you are reading this then please do not be worried. The pump that I will soon get will help so much. I am waiting and I hope it comes immediately. I am sure it will help SO much! I am sure to LOVE it. At first in the hospital, I did not want anyone to even touch me with that lancet to test. I was trying to run out the door. I am so used to using it now I have no trouble at all. I even do it myself now. The pump does not do the testing but it does the injections. I am sure my life will be easier as a diabetic with the pump.

Leah and her family received email at mmandel AT hvc.rr.com.
