  Back to Kid' Voices Ashley

Hi, my name is Ashley and I have had diabetes for 3 years. When I was nine I was diagnosed with diabetes and at first I was scared and now I am fine. I was always going to the bathroom and drinking all the time, so my mom took me to the doctor's and my sugar was 614 so I went to the hospital.

What having diabetes means to me is that you just have to take medicine unlike some people. If I would help people adjust to being diagnosed with diabetes I would just be yourself and you are no different than anybody else.

I am 13 now and I hate it sometimes but I know there ARE people like me. You can email me at daddysgirl42494 AT yahoo.com.
