Hi my name is Shelby. I am 12 years old I have had diabetes since I was nine. When I found out I had type 1 diabetes I was on vacation in Tennessee. I would not eat. I was really really thirsty all the time. We had to come back home to Georgia early because I was so sick I went to the doctor and I was 544. So then I went to the hospital they said that I would have to stay for a while I stayed for about a week. My mom and dad and I had to take diabetes classes.
