Hi my name is Eliza. I am 13. I was diagnosed with diabetes about 4 weeks ago.
I got really sick the day that me and my family moved into my new house. I was vomiting and too weak to get out of bed, then my stomach hurt so bad I could not move and I could not breathe. After I told my parents I could not breathe, they rushed me to the doctor. I could not walk so my dad carried me in. After the doctor looked at me, he took my sugar and I was over 700 and dehydrated. They called an ambulance right away and within 5 minutes they were at the doctors office. I was in intensive care for three days and they said I had the signs of diabetes. They said if my parents had not taken me to the doctor when they did I would not be here right now.
I take two shots a day, and more if needed. Even though I have only had diabetes for a month, trust me, I know how you feel when you can't eat sweets. Just hang in there, it will get better. :)
