Hey guys. My name is Aliza. I'm 10 years old. I was diagnosed with diabetes a few weeks before Halloween 2007. I am soon going on the pump this summer of 2008. Having diabetes is not the end of the world. Although it's not great, it's not horrible. My parents and I were noticing some drowsiness, I got more thirsty and I got up in the night to use the restroom. These were things that I didn't usually do. I was in the hospital for 7 hours. The nurse diagnosed me with diabetes. I didn't even know what this was! But now I'm living my fun happy life. I'd love to get a pen pal. You can e mail me at lizies AT ecentral.com.
