Hi. My name is Daniella and I am 14 at the moment. I am Costa Rican but at the moment I live in Paris. I was diagnosed when I was 4. Both of my parents are doctors, so they started noticing something wasn't right! Those were very difficult times, because my mother was pregnant at the time my parents were seriously considering a divorce.... it was really difficult for everyone....
We all now understood that diabetes was the best thing that could have happened for our entire family. In my school, I have two other friends who have diabetes. Here in Paris I haven't had the chance to meet anyone. I would be pleased to meet anyone!
I really think that diabetes changed my life in a good way, but at first, it was very difficult to understand!
I wouldn't be as mature as I am and I wouldn't have the discipline that I have! I can make decisions and I really think that diabetes was a blessing instead of a punishment as many people think!
I really can't understand why some people that have diabetes say they are ruined and screwed, while there are people who are dying, it is a difficult condition but it forms your character in life and at first you cant understand it but yes, it totally changes the way you behave, and also the way you act and think!
I would really like to meet people all around the world and share our stories and hopefully become good friends! My e-mail is
daniblue10 AT hotmail.com. I will write back as soon as I can!
