Hi, My name is Dana. I am from Georgia. I am 16 years old. I've been fighting my battle with diabetes for 8 years. I got diangosed on my 8th birthday when I was in the third grade.
I have a rough time with my diabetes up in till last year I decided to take it seriously because I realized it wasn't going away. I was on injections up in till this year on janurary 11th. I worked hard to get sugar down last summer so I could get the pump. I wanted the pump and the doctors would never give it to me, so I had to work for it. I managed my diabetes by myself. I got my sugar down and the doctor finally gave me the pump. It wasn't easy getting it but I did it all by myself. And that's something I'm proud of.
