- The mission of the American Diabetes Association (ADA) is "to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes." They run summer camps for children with diabetes that are a must for every child (and parents too!). The ADA publishes a large number of magazines, including the monthly Diabetes Forecast.
- Read the Position Papers and Clinical Care Guidelines of the ADA from 2006
- ADA sponsors annual fundraising walks.
- The ADA has an on-line list of recognized diabetes education programs in your area. When you first visit the ADA website, you are asked to enter your ZIP code. The list of programs that you are shown is based on your ZIP code. You can also see recognized programs by state.
