Hello! My name is Danielle and this is one of my two daughters, Alexis. She was diagnosed with type 1 on January 7, 2004. She was 17 months old. She was in ICU for three days and in the regular wing for four days. It was so hard at first and at times it still is. She receives one shot of Lantus daily and a shot of NovoLog after each meal.
