  Back to Parents' Place School and Day Care
For many parents, particularly those whose children got diabetes when they were very young, attending school is a watershed event, since it marks the first that the child is not under the complete control for a large part of the day. The same feelings apply to parents who send their child to day care. You wonder how anyone else can care for your child's special needs, and if they will be able to sense an insulin reaction before your child is in real trouble.
