The Ray family

Here is Peter (on the right) with his older brother Michael. Peter was diagnosed with diabetes in May 2006 at the age of 5, he is now 7. He started using a Medtronic pump in July 2008 and it has made such a big difference to our lives. He copes with his diabetes very well and the only concern he has, is that it won't stop him becoming a farmer when he grows up.

This picture was taken on the first day of the new school term, August 2008.

photo The Reid family

My name is Jamie Reid. I was born in Geneva in July 1992. I was diagnosed with diabetes in September 2003 (when I was 11). As I was still living in Geneva, I was lucky to go on an insulin pump straightaway (D-Tron+).

I have now been living in Aberdeen for 1 year with my mum and dad and twin brothers, Chris and Stewart who are 10 years old. I love sport, especially rugby and cricket and enjoy school.
