How much time do you or your child spend with your diabetes team during your diabetes check ups?
Poll dates: September 5 - 12, 1999
Total Votes: 605Caring for diabetes is best done with a diabetes team, consisting of an endocrinologists (or pediatric endocrinologists for kids), diabetes nurse specialists, dietitians, and specially trained counselors. The special skills of each health care professional help you, the patient, manage your diabetes as well as possible.
With the team approach comes greater time demands during regularly scheduled diabetes care visits. Be sure to meet with each member of your diabetes team, and allow enough time to explore any issues you have.
