How many different brands or models of blood glucose meters do you regularly use? Poll dates: January 2 - 9, 2000 Total Votes: 1,009 With dozens of blood glucose meters on the market, people with diabetes have many choices. Some meters are very small and easy to carry, while others are large and filled with diabetes management features. The choice of a blood glucose meter is a personal one, and today, many people choose to use more than one meter. Some people use a large meter, such as the One Touch Profile or Accu-Chek Complete, when at home, to take advantage of the sophisticated diabetes management software contained in the meter. They then use a smaller meter, such as the FastTake or Glucometer Elite while out and about. The important thing is to test as often as you can, and at least four times a day. Studies have shown a correlation between frequency of blood glucose testing and better control. [Return to the current poll]
