How has your HbA1c changed in the past year?
Poll dates: July 23 - 30, 2000
Total Votes: 564The HbA1c measurement lets you know what your average blood sugar control has been like for the past two to three months. Since day-to-day blood glucose readings can vary quite a bit and represent only a few points in time, health care professionals rely on the HbA1c measurement to provide an assessment of overall control.
The ADA recommends that everyone get an HbA1c measurement every three months. There are several ways to get an HbA1c test performed, including in-home testing kits.
