Poll dates: November 25 - December 2, 2001
Total Votes: 718The issue of pump use in young kids, especially young kids, is debated among patients and health care professionals. As our poll shows, people who use pumps -- or parents of kids who do -- are more inclined to say that pumps can be used at any age than people who don't use pumps.
Forty-six percent of people who responded use pumps or are the parents of kids who use pumps. Of pump users or parents, 60% feel that pumps can be used at any age. Of non-pump users, 71% think pump use is appropriate only for kids who understand the concepts of pumping.
