How many times have you or your child needed a glucagon injection? Poll dates: December 30, 2001 - January 6, 2002 Total Votes: 906 Glucagon is used to treat severe hypoglycemia when the patient is unconscious or unresponsive. Everyone who uses insulin should have glucagon on hand and know how to use it. While most people have never needed to use glucagon, those who have are no doubt thankful that they had it.
