Which of the following new features for blood glucose meters is more important to you?

Poll dates: March 3 - 10, 2002
Total Votes: 634

Makers of blood glucose monitors products are working to deliver new and innovative products. Some are working on continuous monitors that use a small probe inserted underneath the skin (e.g., Medtronic MiniMed's CGMS), while others are working on completely non-invasive products that are, however, not continuous (e.g., Ciba's contact lens monitor). Our poll asked readers which they felt was more important.

While slightly more people wanted non-invasive over continuous, the results show that feelings are divided between the two options. Clearly, the ideal product would be both non-invasive and continuous.
