There are many sugar substitutes available for people interested in reducing their carbohydrate intake. Most of our readers report using sugar when cooking. With carbohydrate counting, people with diabetes can eat any food, including foods made with sugar.

In the past year, the use of sugar has increased, while the use of Splenda has decreased.
