On an average day, how many times do you or your child do a blood test?
Poll dates: November 16 - 23, 2003
Total Votes: 913Blood sugar data is the only empirical data about our bodies that we can use to manage blood sugars hour-by-hour and day-to-day. The more times you test, therefore, the more data you have to control your diabetes.
The trend over the past several years is towards more frequent monitoring. The graphs below clearly illustrate the shift -- the peak at four tests per day has declined significantly from when we first ran this poll in October 1998, and the peak is now at testing more than six times per day. The average number of tests per day has increased from 4.6 to 6.2.
