With carbohydrate counting the norm in determining mealtime insulin dosing, it's important to know exactly how many grams of carbohydrates are being eaten. Weighing or measuring food can help provide the information needed to make more accurate insulin dosing decisions.
In this week's poll, just 39% report weighing or measuring their food all or most of the time. 33% say they weigh or measure their food never or almost never. These percentages are similar to last year's results, though fewer report never weighing (29% in 2004 vs. 17% in 2005).
