How do you usually obtain your insulin?

Poll dates: February 12 - 19, 2006
Total Votes: 482

Two-thirds of CWD visitors report obtaining insulin from a local store -- 59% from a local pharmacy, and 7% from a local discount store such as Wal-Mart, essentially the same as last year's poll on this topic. Of the remaining visitors, 27% report using a mail order or online pharmacy to obtain their insulin. For those who use mail order:

  • 47% (67/144) use mail order to save money
  • 17% (24/144) use mail order for convenience
  • 37% (53/144) use mail order because their insurance makes them

Because temperature extremes can damage insulin, we're interested in hearing from mail order users about their experiences with mail order delivery of insulin.

Mail Order Poll
For mail order users, have you ever had insulin that had to be replaced due to damage during shipment, such as from exposure to temperature extremes?
    Yes
    No
    Not sure
