What blood glucose meter do you or your child use most often?
Poll dates: April 16 - 23, 2006
Total Votes: 706There are many good blood glucose meters to choose from. In the past several years, we've seen people changing to meters that take smaller and smaller amounts of blood and which produce results in fewer and fewer seconds. We've also seen the number of people using photometric meters drop to almost none. Today, among our readers, the Abbott Diabetes Care Flash and LifeScan's OneTouch UltraSmart and OneTouch Ultra are the most used meters.
If you're thinking about getting a new meter, review the features of the various meters to find one that best meets your needs.
In October 2006, when we next run this poll, we will include continuous sensors for the first time.
The table below compares results of last week's poll with similar polls run in previous years. Totals by vendor are shown to give a sense for the overall percentage use by CWD visitors.
