For insulin pump users, how often do you usually change your infusion set?
Poll dates: April 1 - 8, 2007
Total Votes: 399Insulin pump users must change their infusion sets periodically to prevent infection and the build up of scar tissue at the infusion site. Just about 60% of our readers report changing their sets every three days -- essentially unchanged over the past several years.
Changing your infusion set more often is essential to reduce the risk of scar tissue build up, but it does cost more money.
