What do you do with your infusion set tubing?
Poll dates: December 23 - 30, 2007
Total Votes: 327Study after study has shown the benefits of insulin pump therapy, so more and more CWD families use pumps. One challenge pump users have is what to do with the infusion set tubing. Just over one-third (36%) of CWD users let the tubing hang out, and about the same number (38%) stuff it inside their clothing. A small number wrap it around something. These are very similar to the results from last year.
A small but growing number of pump users who struggle with tubing are switching to the OmniPod, which is a patch-like pump that has no tubing.
If you're finding that the tubing is a problem, infusion set maker Unomedical has a product called tubeguard™ that might help. Ask your pump company for one.
