Amost two-thirds (61%) of CWD visitors report obtaining insulin from a local store -- 55% from a local pharmacy, and 6% from a local discount store such as Wal-Mart, essentially the same as in previous years (see table below). Of the remaining visitors, 37% report using a mail order or online pharmacy to obtain their insulin. For those who use mail order:
- 49% (47/96) use mail order to save money
- 16% (15/96) use mail order for convenience
- 35% (34/96) use mail order because their insurance makes them
