How many times have you or your child needed a glucagon injection?
Poll dates: September 1 - 8, 2010
Total Votes: 282
Glucagon is used to treat severe hypoglycemia when the patient is unconscious or unresponsive. Everyone who uses insulin should have glucagon on hand and know how to use it. While most people have never needed to use glucagon, those who have are no doubt thankful that they had it.
This table compares the results of this poll from each time it has been run. As you can see, most people -- over 80% -- have never had to use glucagon. The number who have had to use it five or more times has declined substantially since November 1999, which is very good news.
