Has diabetes changed how well you sleep?
Poll dates: February 1 - 8, 2012
Total Votes: 200In early 2011, we reported on a study that looked at sleep in families who have kids with diabetes (Insufficient Sleep in Young Patients With Diabetes and Their Families). That study led to this poll, which shows that parents of kids with type 1 diabetes overwhelmingly report that diabetes has negatively impacted their sleep, as do a majority of people with type 1 diabetes. This should come as no surprise to parents, especially to parents of young kids, who often check blood sugars in the middle of the night.
These graphs show the extent of the impact on sleep that CWD families report:
Parents overwhelmingly report negative sleep impact
A majority of people with diabetes report negative sleep impactWe had similar results when we ran this poll last year.
