A growing body of science shows that continuous glucose sensing can make an enormous difference in diabetes care. Accurate, easy-to-use, and affordable sensing will provide insight into blood sugar levels throughout the day and night and allow people with diabetes -- or parents of children with diabetes -- to make adjustments based on much better data than is available today. And alarms of impending low blood sugar offers the chance to prevent nocturnal hypoglycemia, one of the greatest fears of living with type 1 diabetes.
Based on the results of this poll, over half (52%) of CWD readers who responded to this poll report using a continuous glucose monitor, up from 39% in 2011 -- a significant increase. DexCom remains the number one CGM among CWD families.
