How do we care for our patients?
- Almost everyone is cared for at pediatric departments,
the majority by a pediatric diabetologist
- None are seen by GP:s
- 40 centers, the largest with ~ 500 patients,
but most have 75 -150
- Some travel 150 - 200 km to see their diabetologist
- 50 -100 patients / diabetologist
- 75 - 150 patients / diabetes nurse
- Teams with dietician, psychologist,
counselor (social worker)
