dLifeRadio's "dLife Diabetes Minute" Series Premieres On Stations In Over 170 Markets
Dr. Bob Arnot, dLifeTV's Medical Anchor and Former NBC Chief Medical Correspondent, Hosts Series of One-Minute Diabetes Lifestyle Segments for 18.2 Million Americans Living With Diabetes, Plus Their Families, Caregivers, and People At Risk - Some 70 Million In All
WESTPORT, Conn., March 8, 2005 - dLife - For Your Diabetes Life (dLife), the first integrated media network focused on the diabetes lifestyle, has produced a series of informative one-minute diabetes lifestyle spots, "The dLife Diabetes Minute," which have begun airing on more than 400 radio stations across the country. The project is the latest spoke in a hub of diabetes-themed media resources from dLife, including a website (www.dLife.com), newsletter (dLifeConnect), and weekly television show (dLifeTV, produced by dLife and premiering on Sunday March 20 at 7:00PM Eastern on CNBC), to bring relevant and important information to the 70 million Americans either diagnosed with diabetes, at high risk of developing diabetes, or supporting a family member living with diabetes. Dr. Bob Arnot, dLifeTV's Medical Anchor and former NBC Chief Medical Correspondent, hosts the radio segments.
"With 70 million Americans affected by diabetes in one way or another - a number that is expected to rapidly increase - using all forms of media to offer life-saving information and a community of support allows us to reach the greatest number of people through whichever media they access," stated Howard Steinberg, the innovator behind all of the dLife properties. Steinberg has been living with diabetes since he was 10.
Each installment of The dLife Diabetes Minute features Dr. Bob Arnot addressing a different topic about living well with diabetes - from travel tips to dealing with Medicare to the importance of checking blood glucose levels before driving.
Dr. Bob Arnot is also Chief Medical Correspondent for dLifeTV, the first-ever weekly diabetes television show, featuring celebrity hosts and correspondents as well as high profile guests from entertainment, medicine, fitness, food and nutrition, and the diabetes community. The weekly lifestyle show is produced by dLife and premieres on CNBC on March 20 at 7:00PM Eastern (4:00PM Pacific). The show will package healthcare news and information with talk and entertainment in a friendly community format to engage today's TV audience. dLifeTV is hosted by Miss America 1999 and author Nicole Johnson Baker; well-known TV and radio personality Mother Love; J. Anthony Brown, comedian and co-host of the Tom Joyner Radio Show; and actor Jim Turner, with Olympic gold medal swimmer Gary Hall, Jr. as fitness correspondent.
