Features

  • Needle inserts straight in
  • Can be used by almost anyone, including people with very little body fat
  • ACCU-CHEK® Rapid-D has 4" pigtail disconnect
  • For people with Teflon alergies
  • 24", 31", and 43" tubing
  • 6mm, 8mm, or 10mm needle

Advantages

  • Very easy insertion technique (straight in)
  • Needle cannot kink like Teflon tubing can

Disadvantages

  • Needle remains under skin instead of Teflon cannula
  • Straight insertion dislodges more easily than angled insertion
  • No clear window to view the point of insertion
  • Does not disconnect at site; 4" tubing tail left hanging in ACCU-CHEK® Rapid-D version
