The Wilson Family, Bethalto, Illinois
December 3, 2001
Today Ruby arrived to visit Britni Wilson in Bethalto, Illinois. Britnis is 6 years old. She was diagnosed in April 2000 and started pumping in May 2001. Ruby is tired from the trip, so we are just resting this evening and watching some tv. Tomorrow, Ruby will go to school with Britni and meet her kindergarten class. Then whe will get to go to Britni's grandma's and visit Rufus, Ruby, and Rufus II.

I went to kindergarten with Britni. Everyone in class took turns holding me. Then, I got to color and go outside for recess. Britni's grandpa picked us up from school and we went to her grandma and grandpa's house until her mom got home from work. Her mom is singing in a Christmas concert and she had practice tonight so we went along and played with more of Britni's friends. Our sugars have been good and I'm having lots of fun. Write more tomorrow. Goodnight.

I went to kindergarten again today and did some more coloring. We went to Wal-Mart tonight to pick out a birthday present for Britni's friend, Ashley. We are going to her sleepover this weekend. It's time for bed now, so I better go. Love you all.

I have had a great visit, but now I have to say goodbye. We'll miss you, Ruby. Have a safe trip. We have sent Gus the Minimed moose and Sapphire the diabetes walk bear to keep Ruby company. We hope everyone enjoys Ruby as much as we have. Behind every gray cloud, there IS a silver lining.
