The Santiago Family, Cortland, Ohio
April 2002
When Ruby came to stay with me for a month, I slept with her every night. Ruby made me feel comfortable. I was diagnosed with diabetes on April 27, 2000. I was taking 4 shots a day. After 8 months, I got the insulin pump. I like having the pump. It has made my life easiser. I play soccer with it. I go swimming, play basketball, and leave it on in gym. I like to lie in bed with Ruby and my fake pancreas.
I will miss you, Ruby. Have fun on your adventures!
