Ruby arrived just in time for work! She wasn't in a very nice mood because she is superstitious (it is Friday the 13th), but I am determined to make her happy.
I work at a store called A Bear is Born. Ruby was really excited when she saw what I do. We stuffed teddy bears (and other animals). Ruby had a great time assisting everyone create their new friends and she certainly didn't miss any opportunity she had to talk about diabetes.
Ruby gets to spend tonight in the mountains at my other house. We had Chinese food for dinner. Blood sugar readings: lunch: Judie's = 122, Ruby's = 200 (uh oh), dinner: Judie's 147, Ruby's = 193. Ruby has been high today. Must be the excitement. Ruby was a little excited when she met my dogs Roxy and Chad.

Wow! What a week I had with Ruby. She has been great to have around all the children in our home. She is happy that Judie's brother and sisters don't have diabetes. But a lot of aunts and uncles have type 2.
Ruby was busy with all kinds of stuff. It was fun having her with us for this time. Ruby was telling us that she is enjoying all the families that she has been with and going to. I know that I am very lucky to read about Ruby's travels. Thank you for staying with our large family!
Now Ruby is going back home. We will miss her company. Hope all her travels are fun. Travel safely and healthily!
