Rufus was waiting for us when we got homre from school. It was Olivia's first day back since she had a bad bout of stomach virus that had us in the hospital last Wednesday! Olivia was so excited, she ran and got Ruby to introduce them. Then we all checked our sugar. It was 183. We relaxed because Rufus had a long trip.

An exciting day! Olivia's aunt had a baby boy! When we went to school, Olivia took Rufus to school along with the book, Rufus Comes Home. Ms. Dooley, our school nurse, helped Olivia and Rufus read the book and explain diabetes to her class. We got a little embarrassed, but it was kind of fun!

Went to see Olivia's new cousin today! He is so small and cute! For some reason at dinner, Rufus and Olivia were having lows, so we decided that Rufus should only get 1/2 unit of Humalog for dinner.

Snow! We went sledding and Rufus helped us build a snowman. Afterwards, we tested and Olivia's sugar was 47, Rufus, too! Both had a juice box and then lunch. Later on, we enjoyed hot cocoa and had a quiet night. Rufus, Olivia, and Bianca played Trivial Pursuit with Dad. Rufus is having a wonderful time at our house. We aren't really doing anything special, just our day to day activities, and he is having a ball with us. It is almost time to go and we will be sending him on to the next family very soon! Thanks for visiting with us and hope to see you soon.
p.s. We gave Rufus a guardian angel pin so angels will watch over him and all of us!
