Back to Rufus Rufus Visits the Cooper Family

The Cooper Family, Boulder, Colorado

From Matthew:

5-29-01 - Tuesday
Rufus arrived in Boulder, Colorado today; right after that, me and my patrol named our group named it (the patrol) "the Teddies"! After we finished, we watched the hockey game; the Avs lost 2-1. By the end of the game, that was very bloody! Rufus went to sleep, but I stood up and watched The Games (it's a t.v. show). I then changed my pump site and Rufus' and it sort of hurt him, and then it was time to go to bed!

5/30/01 - Wednesday
Tomorrow I am going to let Rufus wear a GlucoWatch. I have two of them so I can share. Today we pretended at school to be in a WWI wax museum. Rufus sleeps in my bunk bed.

5/31/01 - Thursday
Today, at school everyone turned in their reports. At the end of the day, we had a party where you dress up like a famous person. We had lots of pizza and pop and cake cause it was my teacher's birthday. Then we did home work and went to bed forgetting to put a glucowatch on!

Friday 6/1/01
My mom and dad went to the Broadmoor and left us with my aunt and uncle.

Saturday - June 2, 2001
On Saturday, we played with Rufus and my cousins, and after lunch Rufus and I went to bed; when we woke up, it was 5:07 - almost time for my hockey game, but we lost 5-3, and I scored a goal!

Sunday - June 3, 2001
At our diabetes Potluck, Rufus wore a GlucoWatch. We ate, played air hockey, and we all had a good time!

Monday - June 4, 2001
Bye Rufus, we had a real great time meeting you! Have fun!
