The Becker Family, Red Deer, Alberta, Canada

September 20, 2004 Rufus finally arrived today! Kaylee has been waiting anxiously for his arrival. Kaylee is five years old and in kindergarten. She was diagnosed with diabetes in May 2003. We live in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada. We are so excited that Rufus has come to visit and that we can show him around. We're going to have a great time! September 23, 2004 Kaylee had to go for some blood work today, so Rufus came with her to help her be brave. She was a very brave girl, and so was Rufus! September 24, 2004 Kaylee and her sisters, Brooklynn and Kayla, had to rake up all of the leaves in our yard today. But not before they had some fun with them first! Rufus joined in, too! September 27, 2004 Rufus came with us to watch Kaylee at her gymnastics class. She loves it. After gymnastics, we came home for supper. Kaylee tested Rufus' blood sugar, and then gave him some medicine. September 29, 2004 We all had a busy day at school today, so after we were all done supper, we decided to go to the playground. Rufus came along and we all had a great time. October 2, 2004 We went shopping this morning. After lunch, it was so nice out that we went and played outside all afternoon, while mommy cleaned the car out. October 9, 2004 Today, we went to Edmonton to visit with Kaylee's Great Grandma and Great Grandpa. We spent the whole day there and we even had turkey dinner with them. It was good. October 10, 2004 We went to Stettler today to visit Kaylee's other Great Grandma and aunts, uncles, and cousins. We got to have another turkey dinner. It is Thanksgiving weekend this weekend. Rufus likes turkey! October 12, 2004 Kaylee took Rufus to school today. She told her class all about Rufus and all about diabetes. We've really enjoyed having Rufus visit. We hope that the next person enjoys him just as much!
