The Haynes Family, Rison, Arkansas May 22, 2003 Rufus arrived at our house Thursday, May 22. Becca was so excited. They played together until it was time for Becca to ride her horse. Rufus made himself comfortable right in front of Becca and rode the horse the whole time! Rufus was able to run barrels with Becca on her horse 'Attitude.' Tomorrow, Rufus will go to school with Becca. At school, we had a great time, Rufus was introduced to all of the 1-3rd graders. After that, the newspaper came and took pictures of Rufus and me. They are supposed to be in Sunday's paper When school was out that day, Rufus, my brother Josh and I went swimming. However, Rufus wouldn't go in. He took care of my pump. Saturday, I had a horse show to go to and Rufus enjoyed watching from the announcers stand with my Nana. Sunday, Rufus went to church with me. Everyone was excited because they had seen Rufus and my picture in the paper. Today is Thursday the 29th of May. Rufus went shopping with me today. Our county paper is coming this afternoon to take another picture of Rufus and me. We are going barrel racing again. I am trying to get ready for two big horseshows this weekend. The county paper came and took pictures of my horse and me. There will be a nice article in the paper on Rufus. I am attaching pictures of me barrel racing with Rufus. I had so much fun with him. I will miss him. We didn't have any fund raisers but did talk to people about type 1 diabetes. I know Rufus being here helped make people more aware. We are going to try to do a fundraiser during school next year. Bye, Rufus, and thanks for visiting! The Haynes Family
