The Hoak Family, Camp LeJeune, North Carolina August 16, 2003 Rufus has arrived just in time! Roger turned 8 today. Roger has shared Rufus with everyone at school. He has been able to talk about his diabetes and why he goes to the nurse's office before lunch. Rufus has helped Roger explain his diabetes to the other children at school. Roger has had diabetes since he was three years old. Rufus also got to travel to Greenville, North Carolina, to see our doctor for a six month check-up. They both did wonderfully! Rufus has helped Roger a lot on his visit. Safe travels, Rufus! Thanks for visiting! The Hoak Family
