The Crosson Family, Olympia, Washington
November 15, 2001
Rufus arrives at the Crossons on November 15. Kendra was very excited but also very sick. Rufus hung out with Kendra's Ruby while Kendra recovered.
Kendra is 4 years old. She was diagnosed at age 2 and went on the Animas pump at age 3. The pump kept us out of the hospital this time!
Kendra has enjoyed the two bears. Ruby has become more special now.
Rufus enjoyed Thanksgiving with us and also a day of snow. We wrote to the newspaper and the governor and got no response. Good luck to the rest of the people who try. We have had very rainy and windy weather, so we have spent lots of time at home in front of the fire. Rufus and Ruby and Kendra played a lot. She is sorry to see him go.
