Nathan made it home today after visiting his grandparents in Michigan. Rufus and Nathan finally met and they are best buddies already!

It's the Fourth of July - that means swimming, barbeque, and fireworks! We are going to Clearwater to spend the afternoon with friends. We had a great time swimming. We also played on the beach and swam in the Gulf. A storm blew in just before our barbeque was done, so we all made a dash for indoors. The storm is now gone - the sun is going down. It's almost fireworks time!
We spent the day with Nathan's friend, Jonathon. They met last summer at diabetes camp. They both started pumping this year. Even though it was challenging in the beginning, they both are doing great and think pumping is the coolest!

Today is Kids Workshop Day at the daddy store. This month's project is to make a frame for a copy of the Declaration of Independence. Nathan has been doing this for a year now and is getting really good at this building stuff. He has a lot of project pins.

We are so excited! It's time for diabetes camp! Yeah! We were able to get a top bunk. Camp is so much fun. Nathan got to go swimming and canoeing. They also do archery. Nathan popped a balloon! There is a really fun playground. We also got to celebrate Christmas and had a Halloween party. Nathan was Harry Potter. One night, we even had a non-birthday party. It was everyone's non-birthday. I thought it was funny that we were in the Bear cabin.
Nathan and Jonathon weren't in the same cabin this year, but they still got to see each other and have some fun. This is the last day. Time to say good-bye and go home.

Mr. Chris is Nathan's gymnastics coach. Nathan has been doing this for awhile. Mr. Chris says he will make the team soon. One last adventure before I continue my travels. We went to the MOSI - Museum of Science and Industry. We got to see and do lots of cool stuff! We went on a simulator. What a ride - whizzing through space, dodging space rocks.
Well, it's about time to say goodbye. I went to school with Nathan today. It's the first day of school. I helped Nathan teach his classmates about diabetes and all the things he needs to do to take care of himself. It went really well. Time to pack up and go home.
Thanks, Rufus!
