Dawson was very happy to bring Rufus to preschool! Since it was Dawson's first week, it was a great opportunity to explain to the other children a little bit about what diabetes is. He is very happy to have Rufus with him--especially at "shot time." Dawson picks where Rufus will get his shot, counts to five and then gives Rufus a big high five when they're all done.

Dawson and Rufus got to visit Meme and Pep's today. Dawson was glad to share his matchbox collection. For lunch we headed to our friends' - Allison and Joshua - house. Rufus got to play house and have tea. After supper we went to Jarret's house. Dawson was thrilled to be able to show Rufus all of Jarret's trucks - he has quite a collection!

After breakfast Rufus stayed home with me since Dawson went to work with dad. They were digging with the excavator and we thought Rufus would get too dirty! We did take Rufus out to dinner with us to make up for it!
