Joslin's Family Management of Childhood Diabetes Study (FMOD)
As children with diabetes enter adolescence, working together to manage diabetes becomes increasingly challenging for families. The Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston is looking for families with children between the ages of 9 and 15 who have had Type 1 diabetes for less than one year for a study trying to find ways to help families work together to better manage diabetes during this difficult time. The study team will assist families with communication, problem-solving and family teamwork in addition to routine diabetes care. All eligible families will receive free parking for study visits and compensation for their time and effort. This study is sponsored by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD).
