Support Groups in Massachusetts

• Eastern New England Families with Diabetes
  This is a new group for families of children with Type 1 diabetes. The purpose of the group is to help parents to meet those near them and to provide online support and in-person get-togethers. • Families with Young Children Support Group-Springfield/Northampton, MA
  area. If you have a young child with diabetes and are interested in talking to, learning with/from other families in our area then please join our group. We welcome the entire family, your child(ren) both with diabetes and without will play together while the parents chat. We meet the third Sunday of each month either in a public location such as a park or museum or at a families home. For more information, please email Deb Pisciotta at anthonysfan AT gmail.com.
• Highlow of the North Shore
  Highlow of the North Shore of Massachusetts is a new support network working with families and children with type 1 diabetes who are under age 14. Anyone interested in joining please feel free to e-mail Julia Hart at highlow AT comcast.net.
• Marlborough's Sweetest Kids
  This community resource is to benefit all families that are raising children with diabetes in the city of Marlborough, Massachusetts. Always in support of a cure, living with diabetes today! We have phone access at (508) 481-3381 or (508) 460-0026, emails at DSTimboCC AT aol.com, and an eGroup mailing list membership at MarlboroughsSweetestKids.
• South Shore
  We are forming a new support group on the South Shore for Children with Type 1 and their families. Our first event will be held on May 6th at 10 a.m. at Kidsport in Stoughton MA. Anyone interested in attending can contact Katy Dern by email at kt575 AT comcast.net or by phone 781-963-8606.
• South Shore
  A new support group is starting on the south shore. We will be meeting at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, Mass. This group is for kids of any age with diabetes and their families. We will be meeting every 3rd Thursday of the month starting in May in the private dining room at South Shore Hospital from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Our first meeting will be May 18th from 5:30-7:30 p.m. For information contact Jennifer Murphy at 781-792-0858 or email at jennifermurphy136 AT msn.com.
